Laura Lim is a self-taught oil painter based in Maple Ridge, BC. Her work is inspired by the landscapes of the West Coast — whether hiking forest trails or spending quiet days by the water, she’s always been drawn to the outdoors. Laura often paints “en plein air” to reflect the light and feeling of a place in the moment. Her style leans toward soft, painterly realism, using visible brushwork, layered textures, and a limited colour palette to create a sense of calm in each painting. Through her work, she hopes to remind people of their own meaningful moments in nature and inspire a deeper connection to the places they love.
